10 December 2007 Meeting

Our Christmas Dinner was certainly the highlight of all meetings this year.  A festive event with the spouses, an outstanding speaker, and inducting 8 new Daedalians made for a most memorable evening.

We were honored to have Lockheed Martin Executive Vice President and F-35 Program General Manager, Tom Burbage as our guest speaker.  Tom’s most interesting and enlightening briefing on the Joint Strike Fighter Program was outstanding.  We learned the inception, development, capabilities and foreign sales, of this truly ‘state-of-the-art’ amazing fighter aircraft.

While inducting any member into our organization is a delight, inducting 8 new members in one evening was an inspiration to all our Daedalians.  One induction in particular was extra special for us. We surprised Flight Adjutant – Brad Wright, with an “order” to induct his son – USMC Hornet Driver Paul Wright.  Paul, home on leave from his current assignment in Japan, was equally surprised as ‘Dad’.  In a word – this was special!

Bottom Line:  You should have been there!
