Daedalian JROTC Achievement Award

Through the Daedalian Foundation, The Order of Daedalians offers a Daedalian JROTC Achievement Award to a qualifying high school JROTC cadet each school year. A certificate and Daedalian medal are presented annually to outstanding JROTC cadets to instill the spirit of patriotism, the love of country, and to encourage careers as military pilots.

Often, High Schools contact the Daedalian National Hq, request this award, and then make their own presentations to the cadets.  It is the goal of our Flight to coordinate with the many JROTC units in the Atlanta area and offer to make this presentation.  We need our Flight members to volunteer to represent the Daedalians for this event.

Contact our Flight Awards and Decorations Committee Chairman and volunteer to make this presentation to a cadet in your area.  He will ensure you have the certificate and medal for the presentation.

Air Force ROTC Annual Daedalian Scholarship Award

Through the Daedalian Foundation, several scholarships are offered to individuals throughout the country.  Visit the Daedalian Foundation for specific information related to these scholarships.

To date, our Flight has awarded Scholarships through the Foundation’s “Matching Scholarship Program”.  Similarly, another program sponsored by The Foundation focuses on college scholarships for students who are pursuing a military career through a Navy, Army or Air Force ROTC program at their college or university. These students are nominated by their local commanders and the selection is made by the various ROTC headquarters and funded by the Foundation. 

For the past few years, The Foundation’s college Air Force ROTC award is presented at the AF ROTC Commander’s conference held in Atlanta, GA.  Our Flight is ‘on tap’ to represent the Daedalians for this presentation.  Please notify the Awards and Decorations Committee Chairman if you would like to make this presentation.  We need volunteers!
